Admission

Admission is strictly on the basis of a written entrance test – to be conducted in the month of February / March of every year. No child can appear in the test unless he/she has been registered. The last date of registration for admission to classes LKG, UKG, I – VIII is 30th March every year.

DOCUMENTS REQUIRED AT THE TIME OF ADMISSION

Admission Fee is non-refundable on cancellation of admission.
Provisional Admission is confirmed on receipt of Admission Fee
As per fee policy, fine will be applicable for payments made after due date.
FEE POLICY
Admission Fee: This is a onetime fee payable during seeking admission to Rising Sun. Payment of Admission Fee ensures provisional admission and a student is assured of a confirmed seat at Rising Sun subject to completion of formalities as mentioned in the Provisional admission letter. This fee is strictly non-refundable.
Tuition Fee: The tuition fee is payable every month. All students are required to pay the tuition fee as is prevalent during the session.

ATTENDANCE :

It is compulsory for all students to attend the Morning Assembly. The school gates will be closed five minutes after the school starts and students who came late will not be allowed to attend class. The roll attendance is taken after the Morning Assembly No child can leave the school premises during school hours without written permission of the Headmistress.

ABSENTE :

A leave application signed by the parents or guardians should be sent in advance through the child or parents may intimate the school through corresponding page – “Regularity Record” provided in the diary. If a student is absent without intimation for a period of 10 days at a stretch his/her name will be automatically struck off the roll. A child thus struck off the roll may be re-admitted on payment of the usual admission fees and arrears in full provided the vacancy has not been filled up in the meantime.

DISCIPLINE

Irregular attendance, unjustified or unexplained absence, habitual late coming, disobedience or objectionable behavior of any kind may result in removal of a student from the school. School property will fully damaged or destroyed will be made good by the parents/ guardians of the concerned child/children. No story books, comics or periodicals are to be brought to school; else they will be confiscated.

PTA

All parents are not enrolling as members of the PTA. Parents are requested to co-operate and ensure that the daily homework is not neglected but done regularly by the child. Parents are requested to check the home work diary for the class

VISIT BY PARENTS:

Parents may visit the Principal or any teacher in case of any difficulty regarding their respective children on 4th Saturday in between 09:30 hrs to 12:00 hrs. On emergency, they can visit the Principal from 11:30 hrs to 12:30 hrs during working day. Parents and Guardians however are not allowed to visit the teachers in the class rooms.

UNIFORM

The School endeavours to encourage habit of cleanliness and neatness among the children and see that they are always neatly dressed for the school. The school uniform is as under

Boys

Cream (Light Green) shirt & light black pant Black shoes with light black colour (Same as Uniform) socks. Blue full sleeve V neck pullover for winter (Classes from Nursery to IV)

Dark Blue V neck pullover Blazer for winter (Classes from V to X) School tie. School belt.

Girls

Light black skirt and Cream (Light Green) blouse. Black shoes with light black colour (Same as Uniform) socks. Light black ribbon. Blue full sleeve V neck pullover for winter (Classes from Nursery to IV) Dark Blue V neck pullover Blazer for winter (Classes from V to X) School tie. School belt. On Wednesday, Saturday and for special occasion – house dresses. Carrying IDENTITY CARD / SCHOOL DIARY on all school days and occasions is compulsory for all children. The School is not responsible for money sent through children. Fines for absence, loss or destruction of school property etc. will be imposed at the discretion of the Principal. All correspondence must be addressed to the Principal. The school does not approve of letters being addressed to the individual teacher or parents making a direct approach to them. Students must be punctual for class. All late comers must report to the Principal and letters of. absence must be submitted before school begins. Disregard to the schedule timings may result to the child’s name being struck off the school rolls. Pupils are responsible for the safe custody of their books and belongings. No. TC will be issued until all dues to the school have been paid in full and that also only on receipt of a written application from the parent/guardian. It is parent’s responsibility to attend to the hygiene and cleanliness of the child before he / she comes to school.

CO-CURRICULAR ACTIVITIES

In addition to the academic training the school follows planned co-curricular activities for the early development of character, creative talents and group behaviour in children. These activities include game, group singing, guided library classes, PT etc. During every academic session, the school organises an outing cum picnic, annual sports, annual cultural function, handicraft and science exhibition, debate, quiz competition, spelling competition and etc. in which all children participate. The school has its own play ground with a mini park and all necessary equipment for indoor and outdoor activities. The school has a bus which the children can avail subject to rendering of risk certificate by parents.
